Hypor, the swine brand of Hendrix Genetics, has recently launched “Swine Support by Hendrix Genetics”, an exclusive technical service app for its customers.

Innovation is a big part of Hendrix Genetics, where everyone is encouraged to bring forward their disruptive ideas. These ideas are then presented at the annual, internal innovation challenge. Unprecedented times due to COVID-19 and severe travel restrictions highlighted the need to find a way to improve the connection with our customers from a distance. The result was the winner of the innovation challenge: the development of a technical service app to better serve Hypor customers around the world.

With the Swine Support app, Hypor customers are fully connected to our team of global experts. Customers can ask questions and include pictures and video. The result is a quick, accurate, and personalized response from our global technical service experts. This app is available to our customers around the world, and with this increased connection, we aim to improve customer satisfaction. Swine Support also increases the reach and efficiency of our technical experts, all without biosecurity risks and a lower carbon footprint.

Swine Support is the first global technical service app offered to swine producers by an animal genetics company. The app is simple and easy to use, with a powerful outcome.

A variety of topics are included, such as health and biosecurity, animal selection, sow and piglet management, wean to finish management, or genetic advice. In the future, the app will include greater functionalities. This app is currently offered in English, Spanish, French, and Dutch. It is important to note that this app will not completely replace customer visits but will strengthen the connection with our customers.

The Swine Support app is now available for download in the App Store and Google Play. This app can be used on a smartphone or tablet, even while walking through the barn. Hypor, the swine brand of Hendrix Genetics, is setting the standard in sustainable swine breeding. This innovative technical support application will not only improve our customers’ production results, but it will also reduce the environmental footprint from travelling. All these enhancements will contribute to a more sustainable pork chain. Whether in person or remotely, we are here to help troubleshoot any challenges you may have – because together we can achieve more.
