Our history
The Hypor pig breeding program was first introduced to the market in 1968 by Euribrid. Over the course of more than 50 years of successful breeding experience, Hypor has earned its position as one of the leading genetic supplier in the swine breeding industry.
In 2007, Hypor became part of Hendrix Genetics, marking a significant milestone that strengthened the company through organic growth and targeted acquisitions, further solidifying its global presence.
In 2025, Hendrix Genetics took another step by signing an agreement merging Hypor with Danish Genetics, another leader in the swine industry, to form a strategic alliance under the new entity Hendrix Genetics Swine. This historic merger combines decades of expertise, innovation, and commitment to sustainability, placing the company at the forefront of the swine breeding industry.
