Hypor and Hyvar Select finalize agreement

After the letter of intent of November, 19 2010 Hypor and Hyvar Select finalized the agreement last Friday February, 11. From this date Hyvar Select is the exclusive partner of Hypor in Belgium, representing all pig breeding activities and the AI activity. With this agreement Hyvar Select has become the largest supplier of breeding stock in Belgium.

With the ever-expanding global activities of Hypor the need to have production and sales locally organized by strong exclusive partners has become more evident. The step in Belgium with Hyvar Select is compliant with this strategy. Hypor will focus more and more on its core activities: pig breeding, and the global growth and market position in the main pork producing countries. All direct sales and the activities of the AI station in Belgium are handed over to Hyvar Select.

The international Hypor breeding program, including the nucleus unit of Hyvar Select is steered and closely monitored from Boxmeer, the Netherlands, where Hypor’s head office is located. A team of professionals supports all global partners to ensure maximum genetic progress with a broad spectrum of multi-disciplinary services and solutions.
