History

Since the beginning of this century Hypor has shipped live animal to China. In 2006 Hypor announced the signing of Joint Venture Agreements with two of China's largest agribusiness companies. Together with Sichuan South Hope Company Ltd. (New Hope) and Shandong Liuhe Group Co., Ltd. (Liuhe) two breeding farms will be operated for the production and distribution of breeding pigs in China. In 2009 a new milestone was set with the joint venture with AgFeed Industries, Inc. , one of the largest independent hog production and animal nutrient companies in China.

Activities

Hypor is partner in two joint ventures in China.

The Shandong Hypor Liuhe Breeding Farm began operations in October 2007, when the farm was populated with 820 purebred Large White, Landrace and Duroc gilts and boars shipped from Hypor Canada's high-health nucleus farms in Saskatchewan, Canada. The production start-up has been a huge success with breeding conception rates exceeding expectations. The two 600-sow breeding farms in the joint ventures, one in Sichuan province and one in Shandong province, form the nucleus of New Hope and Liuhe's integrated pork production and processing system.

The Hypor AgFeed Breeding Company, the joint venture of AgFeed and Hypor has started operating at their Wuning farm in 2010.

Beijing is the location of the Chinese Hypor office. From here all breeding, servicea and sales activities are constantly monitored by a team of professionals.
