1951  Former head office Hendrix Feed

Mr. Guus van den Eijnden, Co-founder of Euribrid convinced Mr. Wim Hendrix to step into the business of producing hybrid chickens.  Wim Hendrix was founder of Hendrix Fabrieken (now part of Nutreco) and he built villa “De Körver” in 1936, named after his nickname. The villa is the current head office of Hendrix Genetics.

After the successful start with hybrid chickens Hendrix wanted to diversify into pigs and started a research program on hybrid pig breeding.

1968

Eight years after the start of the program and a massive investment in research the breeding lines were introduced to the market under the name Hypor. The Hypor breeding program consisted of 4 synthetic lines, named A, B, C, and D.

1970 Euribrid present at international exhibition

The international expansion of Hypor started. In several European countries activities were employed and also the first steps were taken on the Asian market, the Philippines.
